just one more week until i get back to charleston, my family, and the many things i love and miss about those people and that place. to hold me over til then: hydrangeas, bright blue like the ones that grew up big by my grandmother's door. they always feel so much like the south to me.

i've been in and out of town for nearly a month and fresh flowers on table are a sure sign that i am home. this week: hyacinths. they pair so well with open windows, crackling vinyls, and april showers*.
*both rain and snow. winter is officially overstaying her welcome.

a cheery bouquet for the first days of spring. it's time, you know? winter was snowy and cozy and, in my eyes, proper. but it's time. and when i am over winter, that's really saying something. so, here's to spring—and all the blossoms and walks and outdoor brunches and lovely rainstorms surely coming this way. we're ready for you.
