another day of snow!

well, stella wasn't quite the blizzard the weatherman promised, but she was bright & beautiful just the same. we woke in the middle of the night and peeked out the window, and sure enough -- snow was falling fast. it was all so peaceful, fluttering to earth in the golden glow of streetlamps. when we woke in the morning, puffy snowflakes swirled furiously and took turns with sleet until dark.

we so enjoyed our snow day, likely the last one we'll see this year. we baked homemade cinnamon rolls, watched the pretty snowfall from our fourth floor treehouse, listened to the lumineers on repeat, listened by the window to children laughing in the streets, and bookended the day with walks around the neighborhood. first thing, we ducked into our beloved corner cafe for coffees to go and a chat with our favorite barista, rita. in the afternoon, we made a loop around central park, watching sledders and skiers and neighbors walking their dogs, and making snow angels ourselves.

of all of our dates, the ones we spend playing in central park are my favorite of all. christopher brown, i love being your girl.
