month of rose nights and summer storms, papa home early on fridays, impromptu picnics. golden, sunscreen-tangled curls telling tale of splash pads and playgrounds and musician hopping in central park. big breakfasts at home. "madame george" and "unknown legend." dirt on knees, dirt under fingernails, ice cream cones, lavender baths. soft cotton dresses. baby's first dip in a lake. barefoot summer.
