thanksgiving day parade.

to remember thanksgiving morn, our first as three. it was the coldest ever noted, and we bundled baby bear in his snow-white puffer and walked 'round the corner to join friends for the parade. we sipped creamy coffees and cheered as balloons bobbed by. francis chirped his way through the morning and was smitten with the mainardi girls as ever. neighbors chattered about real estate -- what else do new yorkers volley? -- and we brewed plans for joint dates of christmas, and as the float carrying santa claus rode by, ali proposed maple lattes. off we went, our cheeks bright as cherries.

  1. Wow! Love the photos! Watching the Macy's Day Parade (on TV of course) on Thanksgiving morning is my favorite past-time. I've never seen it from any other perspective than the news camera's, so this is really neat. Thanks for sharing.
