eleven ten.

photograph from last week in the woods of the pacific northwest, thoughts from another tenth of november:

she would be old now, and that is impossible to me. she is pause-pushed: bangle bracelets and long skirts, opium perfume and mauve lipstick, diane keaton films, huaraches, a closetful of christmas, stories and paintings and plans, a map of the louvre, a siamese cat, flowering magnolias, something in the oven, something on the radio, a carved wood hotel room key from china or was it japan, a boy with a bird cast in bronze shipped home from greece, or was it rome?

she is evergreen.

  1. This might be my favorite thing you’ve ever written, and that is really saying something.
