it was a weekend dripping in wisteria, a weekend for heading west. we spent saturday with christopher's mama, estate sailing and lunching on grilled artichokes and hunting treasure. for five dollars, we claimed a wooden school desk from the 1940s -- something to hold dear for future wee browns.
temperatures soared and we licked mango italian ice and we gathered with friends to baptize their baby girl. we read paperbacks on the porch and we watched la la land and we ate well and we slept deeply as we do when we are sleeping in the trees. we were glad for april and even gladder for may.
