christmas in the city.

a few photos from our christmas, part i -- with his family here in new york city. it was so important to both of us that we spend christmas with both sides of our family, and we are still giving thanks that we found a way.

a few favorite moments:
+ christmas eve lunch at carmine's
+ long, foggy walks in central park
+ eggnog and cocktails at tavern on the green
+ hors d'oeuvres and a gift exchange at pat & laura's
+ pumpkin playing carols on the piano on christmas morning

all my life, it was my hope that my someday someone would come with a big, good family. my own family means so much to me, and the thought of it only growing with the coming of my person & his family was long and eagerly awaited. this past week, surrounded by the love and christmas spirit of our sweet families, i reveled in the knowledge that my hopes and prayers and wishes have been answered, tenfold. and i am thankful.
