making my week: a mason jar bursting with homemade birthday truffles, galentine's day hot chocolate and manicures, bryant park in snow, greeting him home with wine and a cheese plate, a bloomie's date, and a sweet day spent with elli. back in high school, i was her babysitter; now she's all grown up and visiting me in new york. on her agenda: shake shack bacon burgers, shopping at crew cuts, and "ordering chicken parm in so we can talk about boys." that funny girl sure kept me laughing and i really loved watching her eyes light up over the city. such a little sweetheart.
