a rooftop halloween, a rainy morning bagel run to barney greengrass, old bookstore browsing, the season's first hiss of the heater in my treehouse, catching sight of the marathon runners in central park, and, best of all, a visit from my beloved aunt glenda. part mama bear, part friend, my aunt glenda is a force. weekends with her always promise molcajete guacamole at rosa mexicano and crawling into a fluffy hotel bed with fancy face lotion and magazines. needless to say, i really loved this weekend.
