weekend in boston.

amber, ashton, and megan (plus two babes-in-bellies) flew up for our annual weekend and this year we took this show on the road. we traded new york for boston and feasted on sweater weather, the city's endless charm, and conversations that only friendships spanning lifetimes can foster. it means so very much to me that—15 years later and a thousand miles apart—we remain so deeply invested in each others' lives and i can't wait to do this together all over again next year, in new york or elsewhere. we're already dreaming.

a few favorites: sandwiches at dave's, salted caramel lattes at diesel, pretty views along the charles river, homemade ice cream at j.p. licks, dusty bookshops in cambridge, cannoli and boston cream puffs from mike's pastry, wandering the common up to beacon hill and back down to the public garden, the bells of the old north church, strolling by the harbor, and people watching in copley square.

  1. I'm so glad to hear that you and your friends had a great time in the city I call my second home! Your pictures are making me a little homesick, but also a little excited to visit home in a few weeks. I see a salted caramel latte in my near future!

  3. Alexa - I stumbled upon your blog a few months ago and was captivated by your photos. Just wanted to drop a line to let you know how much I've enjoyed reading. I'm also in NYC (and I blog - www.FollowingtheWalkers.com), so I'm always up for coffee with a neighbor!
