we met five summers ago studying in ireland and our friendship blossomed back home in charleston. in a lot of ways, we grew up together in that place. returning to be with her as she got married was so very sweet for me.
the wedding was an absolute blast. we danced all night, i caught up with friends i hadn't seen since graduation, and the newlyweds left by boat. the next night, a crowd of us gathered at their house to play a rousing game of cards against humanity and wind down from the weekend. i'm so glad i could be there.
