01/52

my year through my eyes: a photo a day, every week, all year long.

january 1 - packed away for another year.

january 2 - brooklyn to manhattan via the f train.

january 3 - a new favorite.

january 4 - sad christmas trees.

january 5 - from that chilly sunday stroll around dc.

january 6 - lunch break.

january 7 - windchill today = seven below.

one whole week into 2014 and things are looking bright. i've been dreaming up long-term photo projects these past few months and ultimately decided that come december 31—when i get cozy with a mug of something tasty and sift through photos and ponder the year—i'd like to recall, as much as single photos afford, what my days looked like. i more or less take a photo each day anyway, but there is organization and intention behind this 52 week project, and there is, in turn, purpose in that. here we go...

  1. i usually take at least one photo a day too. but accidents with cameras recently won't let me do that for awhile now. i'm kinda sad about that. i really enjoy this photo series. i love peeking through the things through someone else's eyes

  4. This is a really interesting idea. I think it will show how you choose to represent your days, which is an interesting decision to make. Will you decide which photo should be posted as you go along, and will there be a pattern to what is posted?

    1. good questions! my thinking right now is that anything is on the table. what i saw/did/ate/wore that day, or who i spent it with. maybe some photos will simply represent my mood in a given moment? i am interested to see if/how the project evolves as the year goes on.
