the thing about new york in summer is that there is so much to do—farmers markets and biergartens and movies in the park—and it seems that everyone is outdoors, all of the time, and feeling up for anything.
last night: a picnic in bryant park and a showing of norma rae. it was crowded but worth it; every last one of us cheered during the union victory scene. if that doesn't endear this city...
