growing up in south carolina, my grandmother and i would spend whole days before christmas making fudge together, carefully packing it into tins, and delivering it to the bank, to the doctor's office—to friends all over our small town. i decided this year to harken back to my roots and spend a sunday making buckeyes (like my stepmom does) and delivering them to friends (like my grandmother did). there's so much joy in tradition—and in the giving.
Awwww! This is awesome and so are you!!! Can't wait to see you tonight! I love you! Oh...and thanks for admitting they are called Buckeyes! You just made my day!
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious! I love the packaging, too. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is adorable. I think if I got one of these, it would be too pretty for me to eat.
ReplyDeleteYum, yum, yum!!! (:
ReplyDeleteShoot - according to Christy's comment, you are already gone. I so wanted to get your Christmas gift to you before you left. I guess you will get to keep celebrating Christmas by opening a gift after the new year!
ReplyDeletethe packaging is so adorable. Gah! I wish I had the patience to do this. I keep telling myself "next year" but I should just get my ass in the kitchen and do it now!
