miss mamie's spoonbread.




last night we headed up to harlem for fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and sweet tea— basically all of the food i have been missing from the south. not bad for a tuesday. not bad at all.

  5. Is that the place we walked past that one night on our way to my apt from Crepes on Columbus? (Gosh, that night seems like it was FOREVER ago!) Looks so yummy, I am definitely putting this place on my list. I might need you to go with me so you can guide me through my first real southern food experience. :)

  6. Yum! Even though I grew up in NY, I looove southern soul food (especially crispy fried chicken). Have you tried Pies 'n Thighs in williamsburg? I love it! Some of the best banana cream pie I've ever tasted. And Buttermilk Channel (also in Brooklyn) is amazing, albeit a bit pricey.
