salzburg: church ceilings and altars.

from salzburg cathedral, where mozart composed and worked as an organist, to st. peter's, my personal favorite and the place where mozart performed his mass in c minor, the churches of salzburg reflect periods from the baroque to the romantic. 

these churches have been standing for a thousand years and all i could think about was what they have seen. wars and weddings and babies and history...

i was overwhelmed, to say the least.
