to market, to market.

we've been cooking with the season this summer more mindfully than ever before. it's felt good, it's felt right, to let mother nature lead the way. you can usually find us poking around the weekend farmers market in our neighborhood, but this week was one for the monday market at union square. we filled our basket with bright heirloom tomatoes and a basil bunch and sticky-sweet golden plums, and our bellies with tart blackberries. (bub's first mouthful.) (he approved with gusto.) we made way up fifth avenue to eataly for fresh mozzarella and fresher pasta. then it was home a-gain, home a-gain, jiggity-jig.
