tuesday this week, we dashed through the rain to cast votes. save for the remarkable privilege of having voice in our government, there is nothing extraordinary about this. and yet. it felt good to do together, and made me giddy for all that awaits us as three, and beyond.
things i cannot wait to do as a family:
+ build blanket forts
+ read harry potter
+ see the world
+ sunday suppers
+ picnics and walks in central park
+ watch stars and clouds
+ be very near the sea
+ bake pies
+ road trips
+ nap
+ hunt and trim our christmas trees
+ spin old, scratchy music
+ long weekend brunches
+ dance in the kitchen
+ farmers markets and pumpkin patches and apple orchards
