afternoon at the allis.

while in chicago, after a boat ride along the river but before exploring lincoln park, we made our way over to the soho house for an afternoon pick-me-up. we will always go out of our way for a coffeeshop.

the allis is the dreamiest -- dark woods and plush velvets meet glittering chandeliers, crisp white dishware, and bright natural light in a rustic, elegant space. i could hardly sip my cappuccino for all the sensory overload. and maybe i wish i could've taken the worn wooden farm table right on home with me. someday...
