my childhood friends amber and megan have been here these past few days, and i've been in heaven. your life, they said when i asked what they wanted to see, so we wandered our way through the long weekend, spending afternoons on the upper west side and waiting out a saturday thunderstorm in a quiet coffeehouse. it's such a wonderful thing to have friends i've known my whole life, and to see them here in my grown up world is really something special.
