the day in numbers.

i spent two hours on the porch, coffee in hand, just feeling the morning. i also took two naps and two showers and finished the second book i brought along (first revolutionary road, then the year of magical thinking, both excellent). christy nearly finished the second book she brought along, too (first beloved, then the catcher in the rye). kylee slept wayyy in, until 10 am. the boys lounged around and watched several episodes of full house. one storm came through. dad said lots of funny things. we polished off one pasta-with-roasted-veggies dish and one tres leche cake. and we ended our day with one sunset boat ride.
