flush with stormy skies and air heavy in that summertime kind of way, saturday had us in pjs by 4:00. we ran to the corner bodega for lemon sorbet, ordered pad thai and curry puffs in, and watched game of thrones well into the night.
sunday brought a long walk, an afternoon showing of pitch perfect 2, and a fun bunch gathered for dinner at the mermaid inn lobsterpalooza. we ordered oysters for the table, fizzy cocktails for all, and shared plates of steamed lobster, buttery corn, and crispy potatoes. it was quite the feast, leaving me giddy for beach days and family-style suppers to come.
